Floral Array by Lee Vause

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Flowers generally provide some form of sensory engagement and are seen as a symbol of beauty, love and affection.
Floral Array, a textural still life seeks to stimulate such engagement by using a strong and dynamic coloured substrate of hand dyed silk that represents resilience throughout these difficult times. The added free motion embroidery provides the structure and background imagery for the placement of a range of textural flowers which includes free motion embroidery, mixed fibre, Thai paper, serviette, and embroidered Japanese paper.
A Thai paper vase which is free motion embroidered completes the overall still life composition and form.
